About the regions: Tampa is intuitively the center of the Tampa Bay area. One key difference between Tampa and other cities is how scattered all the activities are. Expect to need a form of personal transportation to get around. St. Pete is going to be the choice for more slow paced, water loving lifestyle. Brandon is a suburb just south east of Tampa and allows very quick access into the city (around 10-15 mins driving).
